“Summer romances begin for all kinds of reasons, but when all is said and done, they have one thing in common. They’re shooting stars, a spectacular moment of light in the heavens, fleeting glimpse of eternity, and in a flash they’re gone.”

Marion, OH

Busy..Busy..Busy...That's all I've been lately. Finals, Christmas and then, Dad & I went to Marion, OH to vistit my mom. We even, took my cat, Luna May with us. We just threw (figuratively) him in the backseat & he didn't make a peep from Poteau, OK to Marion, which is roughly a 12 hour drive.

We did so much while we were there! In Ohio there's a large part of it that is dedicated to Amish Country. The Amish are people who prefer to live without societies influences like T.V.'s, air condidtioner, electricty ect.. when we visited it was effin' cold! The people were kinda scary.. no makeup with extremely long hair wrapped into a bun and they wore dark colored outfits. They had a store with all kinds of stuff for sale like toilets (apparently they're grossed out by outhouses too) & refrigerators that ran on gas. They rode in buggies and make their own clothes. Very interesting.

About 80mi north of Marion is Lake Irie and you won't believe it! It was frozen! My dad attempted to break the ice and by throwing a rock at it and to our amazement, not even a crack. Again, it was soo cold! We went to this tiny diner and had hot chocolate and chicken noodle soup. It was one of those comfy diners. Where we sat, there were windows on either side of us and it was snowing lightly, so peaceful. That was until mom & I went to the bathroom and dad paid for our meal. When we packed into my car my dad said that the lady who checked him out was talking about how people in the area were " dropping like flies, young and old." Isn't that the weirdest thing to say to someone? Anyways, we cruised the town. My mom watched a show once that said Sandusky ( the town) had one of the U.S's best theme parks. We it was closed for the winter, but we still attempted to check it out, but we were unsuccessful because there was some kind of barricade with cops all around. This was my winter break.

Oh! I almost forgot! My grandma gave me a camera for my Christmas and on that day, I took this picture of myself. It was a casual one, but turned out awesome, Don't you love it when that happens?

Happy Holidays!
